A French national, Laurent has been promoting sustainable natural resources management to alleviate poverty in developing countries. Adhering thus to the values of the Clean Development Mechanism of the Kyoto Protocol, he has been a passionate advocate of carbon finance since the early 2000’s.

A French national, Laurent has been promoting sustainable natural resources management to alleviate poverty in developing countries. Adhering thus to the values of the Clean Development Mechanism of the Kyoto Protocol, he has been a passionate advocate of carbon finance since the early 2000’s.
Laurent has spent almost twenty years with the state-owned agency Office National des Forêts (ONF) as a forest engineer in the northeast of France, and as the CEO of ONF International (ONFI), the international private branch of ONF. Laurent has also supported the creation of ONF Energie, a branch producing sustainable biomass for steam and power generation in rural territories.
A former senior World Bank specialist in Forestry & Carbon Finance for eight years, Laurent has supported forest countries to get access to carbon finance from the BioCarbon Fund (BioCF) and the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF), and worked out and implemented numerous development projects in Africa.
In the private sector, Laurent has been part of pioneer teams, namely: (i) Orbeo, the former emission trading joint venture between Société Générale and Rhodia, as Director of Origination; (ii) Solvay Biomass Energy, a US-based company, as Biomass Sourcing & Marketing Europe Director; and (iii) TotalEnergies Nature-Based Solutions, as Senior Project Development Manager

Juan Carlos started his carrier as junior originator at the Danone Fund for Nature and the Peruvian leading NGO AIDER as Business Development Manager. JC is also a former founding-team member and Latam Director for the Althelia Climate Fund (ACF), the pioneer climate & natural capital investment fund success story, today part of Mirova/Natixis Investment Managers.
Most recently, Juan Carlos has supported the creation of TotalEnergies Nature-Based Solutions business unit as Senior Project Developer.

A former Sustainability Consultant at Ernst & Young and Business Development Director at ONF International (ONFI), the international branch of the French forest service, Clement has put entrepreneurship and impact finance at play from the start of his career.
Clement co-founded and was CEO of the Moringa Fund, a pioneer investment vehicle dedicated to agroforestry businesses with high social & environmental impact in Latin America & Sub-Saharan Africa, part of Edmond de Rothschild Group.
Oriane is a senior ESG & Impact Manager in charge of the environmental and social processes and programmes of SWC and its subsidiaries.
She has a ~10 yrs’ experience in the development of sustainable value chains, agroforestry projects, contract farming and public-private partnerships in developing countries. She has an extensive field experience, especially with smallholder farmers in Latin America.
Oriane started her career at ONF International, a French consultancy firm focusing on natural resources management, where she specialized on environmental and social risk assessment, impact monitoring and the development of agroforestry projects, especially in their components of social inclusion. She notably led socio-economic analysis of cocoa and coffee farmers in Peru and Nicaragua to assess the impact of agroforestry partnership on farmers' livelihoods.
She then joined as ESG & Impact Manager the Moringa Fund, a pioneer investment vehicle dedicated to agroforestry businesses with high social & environmental impact in Latin America & Sub-Saharan Africa. She managed the evaluation of ESG risks in the portfolio, monitored its impact and led the development of the technical assistance fund to support revenue diversification and agroforestry adoption amongst local communities.
In 2021, she moved to Colombia as Head of Sustainability of a cocoa company. She led various sustainability initiatives and gained experience on zero-deforestation strategy, biodiversity conservation, community strenghthening and Living Income initiatives.
Oriane is very passionate about nature. She joined the SWC team to contribute to the preservation of soils, forests and overall biodiversity, and to support rural sustainable development in developing countries.
Oriane is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
Berenice is an Investment Officer, in charge of the development of the SWC projects portfolio in LATAM, based in Lima.
Engineer with specialization in business development and project management under PMI standards, Berenice has been involved in low-carbon value chains project development with native communities and farmers in the Peruvian Amazon in the last 5 years.
As a project manager at the leading Peruvian NGO AIDER, she carried field work to assess the status and propose improvement actions in the value chains of local communities involved in REDD+ projects. Furthermore, based on those assessments, she was able to develop training modules for productive groups to improve their business management skills and route to market.
With strong knowledge and expertise in carbon projects management, in the last two years she oversaw the development of the portfolio of new conservation high-impact-projects. Constantly coordinating with different levels of third parties (government officials, native communities, farmers, traditional leaders, young people, elderly people, NGOs, private sector, international cooperation, etc.), she developed key soft skills to achieve win-win agreements with local communities, under principles of interculturality, transparency and respect.
Berenice joined The Shared Wood Company to contribute with the development of new carbon projects in LATAM, building bridges with local allies and with the communities living in the forests.
Paul is an Invesment Manager in charge of business & financial analysis, valuation and modelling of projects and investments at SWC.
He has 5 years of work experience in the development of sustainable agriculture and agroforestry projects in developing countries.
Paul started his career as Investment Associate at the Moringa Fund, a pioneer investment vehicle dedicated to agroforestry businesses with high social & environmental impact in Latin America & Sub-Saharan Africa, part of Edmond de Rothschild Group.
Paul gained experience in structuring investments and monitoring companies specialized in producing and processing sustainable agricultural products.
Paul developed a keen interest for international partnerships for development and joined SWC to contribute to environmental protection and rural development in the global south.
Paul is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
Lucio is a Geosciences and Remote Sensing Senior Specialist at SWC. He has more than 10 years of experience in GIS and Remote Sensing applied to earth and the environment sciences, with expertise in the field of the environmental and georisk monitoring and the development of avoided deforestation & forest degradation and enhancement of forest carbon stocks (REDD+) projects.
The early years of Lucio's professional career were dedicated to support the environmental monitoring and the impact assessment of projects for Government authorities in Peru. Then, Lucio gained experience in the GIS & RS developing, monitoring and implementing REDD+ projects in the Peruvian dry forest and rainforest at leading Peruvian NGO AIDER.
The last years, as part of the SERVIR Amazonia Program (NASA/USAID) and Conservacion Amazónica (ACCA), a top tier conservation NGO for the Amazon, based in Peru, Lucio served as GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist using Cloud-Computing and Machine Learning approaches to develop studies focused on Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) and the monitoring of natural and anthropogenic impacts on the whole Amazon basin.
Lucio joined SWC to support the development and operations of REDD+ (forest cover maps, historical analysis of land use and cover change, unplanned deforestation risks maps, baseline building, national baseline quota allocation, etc.) and Afforestation/Reforestation projects worldwide using remote sensing and GIS tools and techniques.
Lucio is fluent in French, English and Spanish and holds a Master in Geoenvironment/Georisk from Marne-La-Vallée University and a Master in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Paul Sabatier Toulouse III University.
Lucio is also a Professor at Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, in Lima, Peru
Yoni is an Office Manager in charge of administrative, financial, HR and IT operations at SWC.
He has 10 years of experience in supporting international high-impact organizations in fast-paced environments.
He started his career at Pact & Partners International and digitalized the operations of the executive search agency while he also adapted their processes to new regulations and standards (GDPR, ITIL…). He also used his sensibility to environmental protection and ensured the agency transitioned to low-carbon practices. In parallel, he also developed his expertise as a senior consultant in recruitment and helped customers around the globe build and develop multicultural teams while strengthening his HR knowledge and skills across three continents.
Yoni then joined the global think-tank 2° Investing Initiative managing administrative, financial, legal, HR and IT issues and projects. He supported the sustainable finance NGO by streamlining admin processes and structuring IT management and used his expertise in recruitment to strengthen the rapidly growing team. He was also central in grant management operations with major funders of the organization (ADEME, LIFE, H2020, EUKI…).
Yoni joined SWC to support concrete actions in environmental protection and population empowerment internationally.
Yoni holds a Master in American Studies from the Paris Sorbonne University as well as a BSc. in Finance and Management from the CNAM-INTEC.
